Dirigo Union and Hearts of Pine Celebrate Pride

The Hearts of Pine and the Dirigo Union will celebrate Pride along with the rest of city of Portland on Saturday June 21st. The Hearts have kindly invited the Union to march with them during the parade. All DU members are welcome to attend. Details are below:

This will be the second year the DU has marched in the Pride parade alongside the Hearts of Pine.

For those driving into the city, we recommend parking early and walking to the start location. Keep in mind that the parade concludes at Deering Oaks Park when you're planning your parking.

HEARTS ARRIVAL TIME: 12-1230p at Group A location (Parade starts at 130p) GROUP A LOCATION: Line up on Congress Street starting at the intersection of Congress and Brown Street, facing away from Monument square and towards Casco Street.

Once the parade begins, Hearts of Pine and DU members will walk down Congress to High Street where they will march down the hill to Deering Oaks Park. We are planning on bringing the DU banner and bringing the same energy from gameday to the parade!

For those of you interesting in Pride related merchandise, the Hearts of Pine are also selling a special pride scarf and t-shirt exclusively at the Hearts store at 65 Hanover Street. The shop will be open today 11-6:00 PM and tomorrow beginning at 9:00 AM.
