An Update from Matchday Experience!

Hey guys! Haven’t forgotten about the monthly meeting, just in the middle of a long stretch of back to back workdays, which when working nights make it hard to schedule an exact night. Thankfully, my USM season ends in five weeks, and most of my sunny days until the cold returns will be spent focused on DU.

That all being said, I am happy to share the following updates, short term calendar, and the design for the TIFO!

Updates about the club meetings and matchday related items: I will read over these with folks next week if wanted, but we are posting these meetings on the website for you all to see as soon as we have the text ready!

Flag Order #1 has arrived, 6 of the new designs, here and ready to go, will show on camera when we meet! Flag order # 2 is close to going out, just need to sort out a DU on tour image, as our current away flag was too damaged to hang properly away @ cosmos, and we have more people going to away matches than ever, and then sort out a morning to get it out

Pro USLPA banner: We have leftover white fabric from a past TIFO that is wide enough to do a fence banner OR a 2-pole, which with black paint we could use the same slogan(s) that the USLPA is using to support the players, and have them present for as long as this is an issue with the league

Short Term Schedule:

Friday, 4/3: Going to meet Kristi at Fitzy to get access to our storage and see what’s left/organize it

Saturday, 4/4: TIFO tracing at bayside bowl mezz (only a 2-3 person job, just sharing for knowledge of progress!

Either Sunday, 4/5 at 3pm or Monday, 4/6 at 9pm: Short meeting in discord to go over things listed above, as well as a short chat about some long term planning for the next banners, and anything that you’d like me to cover in the final meeting with the club before the home opener (4/9)

Wednesday, 4/8: TIFO painting event at Thompson’s point, 530 until it’s done

Finally, the TIFO design for the home opener is done! I’ll be grabbing paint both for this and for the pro-PA banner at the weekend, and really look forward to having everyone at the painting event!
